Luke & Josie’s Wedding was my second time working at Lains Barn in Oxfordshire. Since I moved to Wantage a few years ago, I have wanted to work at this beautiful venue. Lains Barn is a stunning family run Wedding venue situated in the countryside of Oxfordshire, it is a fantastic venue choice for anyone looking for a barn venue in Oxfordshire.
Josie & Luke had opted for an engagement shoot before the big day which helped me to get to know what the couple did and didn’t like in terms of poses/ photo ideas. The couple made me feel so comfortable on the big day and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them- the perfect clients!
The day started off with bridal prep and groom prep. Josie and Luke had decided to write each other cards to read on the morning of their Wedding, this was definitely a lovely added touch to the day. We had a relaxed morning before heading off to Lains Barn where their ceremony and reception took place. I focused on more natural poses for the couple photos but we decided to mix it up a little in the evening and go for a few editorial style shots.

Since our first time meeting up with Kirsty in a coffee shop she was always super friendly and immediately filled us with confidence, to trekking through the woods with us to get some beautiful photos on our engagement shoot – having a good laugh the entire time, to blending in and feeling like one of our guests on our wedding day. Kirsty was always a calming and friendly presence during moments of busyness!
We received our photos quicker than expected and have spent hours looking at them all over and over again. We knew we’d love them but were blown away by how perfectly our day had been captured, Kirsty brought out the best of us during our couple photos; they all felt and look so natural, we are so happy with the candid shots of all our guests seeing them having a good time – we will cherish them all forever!”
