When should I book in to get the best newborn shots?I would suggest booking in your newborn shoot for the first 2 weeks of baby's life. This is because your baby is usually more sleepy and settled so you are more likely to be able to move them into different poses without waking them. Understandably, this may not be possible as life with a newborn can be very stressful, so I am more than happy to photograph your baby at any age.
Where would my newborn shoot take place?I do newborn shoots at your own home. I personally find this is where your baby will feel more settled.
What do I need to provide/ prepare for my newborn shoot?I like to go for a bright and airy style when it comes to newborn photos. Because of this, I ask that you pick a room with lots of window light and preferably light walls. I quite often use a bed with white bedding and white blankets as this gives a large surface area to work with while providing comfort for your baby. Please feel free to provide any toys/ outfits that you would like to feature in the photos.
What should I dress my baby in?This is completely down to preference. Some parents like photos of their baby without clothes, with just a blanket covering the nappy area. You can also provide a couple of outfits that you like and we can do a variety of photos.
How far in advance should I book?I am pretty flexible. As it is not possible to know when your baby is going to arrive, I am happy to take short notice bookings.
