In August 2025, I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin’s beautiful wedding at Milton Hill House Hotel in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. As an Oxford wedding photographer, working at a new venue is always exciting, and Milton Hill House did not disappoint. I was especially looking forward to capturing the ceremony in the venue’s stunning outdoor space, with its Italian-inspired gardens and beautiful landscaped grounds.
Pippa and Jake have been together since their school days and are already proud parents to their daughter, Evie. Their wedding day was a long time coming, making it all the more special to document such a meaningful celebration for them. It was an absolute honour to capture their day at this gorgeous Oxfordshire wedding venue.
Pippa spent the morning getting ready at the hotel, surrounded by her closest friends and family. With glorious summer weather on their side, the couple were able to go ahead with their plans for an outdoor ceremony in the Italian-inspired gardens at Milton Hill House. The ceremony was followed by a relaxed drinks reception on the lawn and patio, making the most of the venue’s beautiful setting, a dream for Milton Hill House wedding photography.
As guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast, Pippa had organised a brilliant surprise… singing waiters! It’s something I’ve seen at a few weddings, and it never fails to lift the atmosphere. After a full meal, it brought the energy right back into the room and created some fantastic, fun moments and, of course, some great photographs.
